There are a couple of methods of dealing with this common pest. One is to place a codling moth traps out in September / October before the moths start flying. The traps are a biological non-pesticide product. The male moths are attracted to the pheromone, they get caught in the sticky trap, disrupting breeding and reducing the infestation. You just hang them in your tree.
