MY daughter is getting married 31st March in Manawatu area. I have planted up pots with Petunias,Gazania,Impatiens, I am dead heading and hoping they will still be in flower by end of March. Can you give any advise if we have done the right thing or what should we plant.

Potted colour during the seasons is a very good way of getting instant colour and impact where you need it. All the annuals you mention love the summer heat so you should be ok to have them followering. Keep dead heading and watering and some retailers and horticulturists say fertilising with potassium can help with flowering. As a back up you could get some additional potted colour ready. I would keep to a simple, bold planting theme. So blocks of colours in harmonising colours in a single colour theme ie all white
