I have just removed a large fruit salad plant from the brick wall on my two-level unit. The aerial roots were following the mortor joints and what is left behind are the dry ‘shells’ of the roots and they are stuck hard. How can I clean these fibres off please, and also the black stain on the bricks? I cannot reach them to scrub them off as they are too high.

try softening them up by drenching them in water and using a flat nose shovel or tool to scrape off. For hard to get stains on brick probably best to get some one in to do a Chem wash, especially if you don’t have the gear yourself. Get a quote first.
