I have been trying to grow courgettes but they seem to rot. I picked one of the rotting baby courgettes and noticed that they are being eaten by a small white bug that seems to be living in the soil. I have noticed these bugs before while watering, as they seem to come to the top of the soil while watering. It seems to be that the bugs are living in the soil and when the courgettes touch the soil they are being eaten and rot, can you help?

Would suggest that your courgettes have powdery mildew which is common. When watering try not to water the leaves and mulch under the fruit to prevent it from lying on the soil. Treat the powdery mildew with Kiwi care organic copper oxy. This can be sprayed all over both sides of the plants leaves. I would suggest that the bugs are attracted to the rotting fruit rather than causing the fruit to die
