I planted a few elephant garlic in June. How many bulbs can I expect from one bulb planted? When can it be harvested? How deep should the pot be? What is the minimum distance between plants?

Yes, you plant Elephant Garlic in the period April to June. They should be planted about 6 to 10 cm apart with the necks protruding. The bulbs with their new cloves will be ready to harvest about December-January. I would advise not to plant a whole bunch as is. Normally you would plant a single clove off the bunchand that single will grow and develop into another whole bunch &. if things go well. A bunch might vary in the number of cloves you could expect (when pulled apart after harvest) depending on growing conditions and when it is dug up (ie; how long it is remained in the ground).
