Hi, I purchsed seedlings of tomatoes and scarlet runner beans from the Palmers store which came in cellpacks of six. The instructions on how to transfer them from cell pack to soil is unclear.

Would you please provide a step by step instruction on how to transplant them to soil successfully and not damage the plant or the roots in the process?

Thank you,
AR

Hi AR, Gently squeeze the individual cell, this will loosen the plant from its container, put the container on its side this help slide the seedling out of its container. Soil should be well prepared if needed with vege mix added and mixed in so the roots will find it easy to grow into the new soil. Water in the newly planted plant with an organic liquid fertiliser this will help with transplanting shock. Remember to pace some snail bait around the newly planted seedling to prevent slugs and snails eating these seedlings. Thanks the Palmers Team
