I have an iceberg rose in a large patio pot on a deck which was given to me for Xmas 2 years ago. it has flowered profusely during that time, however this year the flowers are coming out mostly pink with a little white and don’t look that healthy. Do I need to repot? It is well loved and cared for.

Yes it should be repotted each year if you can – however, using rose fertiliser can help you maintain its nutrient requirements for a little while longer. The physical components of potting mix also changes over time as well which can cause problems with drainage and salts from the fertiliser.
