I have a lemon tree in a large pot. It has had borer. I cut off the affected branches and it bushed up beautifully. Looks like the borer’s still there tho. Can it be successsfully treated? If so with what for an organic garden and is it worth transplanting to the ground. It’s around 10 years old.

Hi there

Thanks for asking about your lemon tree. Spray the tree with Neem oil every two weeks. The bora moth flys in October/November so you need to treat the larvae which Neem will do.

Transplant in the garden in Autumn is best as it may cause it too much stress this close to summer.

Happy gardening
