I have moved into a new house with a narrow flower garden running alongside the drive. My husband ripped out all the previous owner’s flowers, so now we have two lavender bushes, one agapanthus, and a whole lot of weeds growing through. What are some low flowering plants that are easy to grow that will cover the garden bed with minimal maintenance?

It’s great timing as right now we have a sale on and some plants that spring to mind would be Choysia White Dazzler which has a long flowering season from Spring to Autumn. Helipterum Paper Star flowers in winter and is also on sale. Some other flowering shrubs not on sale that require very little maintenance is Rhaphiolepis indica with pink flowers and Hebe diosmifolia has pale lavender blue flowers in winter and is low growing. Federation daisy come in a variety of colours and provide Spring to Autumn interest.
