Hi I want to know what to do with an area that once had some trees now gone but still hv the stumps and got little sun and the soil is rancid smelling and whitish in colour. Is there anything I can use to restore it to being fertile and grow either fruit trees or garden veges? It now gets sun in the afternoon
Thanks

Hi Sam, yes you can but this will take some time. You can speed this up by introducing additional soil and mixing this with existing soil. We would suggest at this time of the year to sow a winter crop (like lupin or mustard seed). This will give you an indication as to whether other things will grow and the winter crop is very good for your soil (needs to be dug into the soil prior to coming into flower). You can also apply Biogro Certified Liquid Plant Tonics to help soil quality and structure as well as encouraging worm activity. These are all available at in store. Thanks, the Palmers team
