After pruning I sprayed with Liquid copper mixed with Conqueror spraying oil. After talking further to the ladies at Palmers I was told to continue with the oil on its own every fortnight. After not been in the garden for 3 days, aphids have arrived. In my collection I also have Shield and Super Shield but have not used them yet. Should I be using the oil as well as the shield is my question? When do I use the copper again?

From leaf bud through until dormancy you can use Super Shield and alternate with Gild. Oil is just for use in the winter months. Copper controls Black spot, Downy mildew, Leaf spots, and Fire blight and is used at bud burst and green tip (Sept), leaf fall (May) and during winter dormancy.
