My herb garden, Where is the best part of the plant to pick, eg Basil, to encourgae further growth. There must be a better way than just ripping off the leaves?
To encourage branching / spreading of the plant, you need to nip off the growing tips. If you remove them a few centimetres down, you can then use this in the kitchen as well. Removing the leaves will not encouragae further growth.
