Hi. I bought 4 citrus plants (lime, lemon, Valencia orange and mandarin) roughly two and half months ago. First two were bought from a Farmers market stall and the other two from warehouse. At first all plants were a little slow but only the lime plant picked up growth with new leaves and is doing better. The other three plants show no growth despite regular liquid feed, pellet fertilzer(Yates) and watering. The plants are in full sun position and receive all day sun (when it’s a good, sunny day in Hamilton ). I used the special citrus potting mix from palmers. Please help.
I’d appreciate any suggestions in this matter. Thank you.

Hi Sujata, possible problems are too much water at this time of the year, especially if you planted the citrus in the mix only as the mix holds water well. Plants use very little water over the autumn/winter months. You placed the fertiliser in contact with the roots potentially burning them. We would suggest taking one out of the garden and taking it into the Palmers Planet store in St James. They should be able to tell from looking at the plant the most likely cause of it not doing well and recommend a possible solution. Thanks, the Palmers team
