I have a leucadendron which is rather wind battered & I would like to take a branch out of the tree & sake/tie the leucadendron: However, I am not sure if pruning a leucadendron will kill the tree – if I can prune this branch off – when is the best time?

Lecadendrons are a hardy plant from South Africa. Pruning will not kill it excess and poorly positioned stems can be removed. You should prune by removing all flowers as well once it has finished flowering and all the colour has gone. Basically cut the flower stem leaving about 10cm of leafy stem. Trim non flowering stems to the same height.
