Located in the heart of the Wellington region with it’s own exit off the Plimmerton roundabout on SH1, Palmers Lifestyle Centre is the largest all weather garden centre in the Central/Southern North Island. Palmers Plimmerton has 2 acres of inspirational garden and lifestyle displays and garden goods, much of which is under cover for all weather comfort.
Our new large format store is designed to give you a relaxing and inspiring, fun day out as well as offering great value and all the information you need to create your own slice of Kiwi Paradise.

| Our Team |
We love plants and enjoy sharing our passion and experience with you. With over 130 years combined staff experience Palmers Plimmerton are the local experts; we know our onions (as well as our Acacias and Zantedeschias!).
Each team member has their own specialty field of expertise and interest and all have gardens in our local climate so between us we understand and can help with any design or plant advice needed.
Palmers Plimmerton owner, Richard Persson, is a third generation kiwi nurseryman with the technical qualifications of a Diploma of Horticulture with distinction from Massey University.
Richard shares his enthusiasm and gardening experiences on Radio shows and with many local community groups at every opportunity; it is even rumoured that sap flows through his veins! |

We are the number one NZ destination for water gardening, whether it’s a modern self contained water feature for your deck or a tranquil garden stream and waterfall, with over 50 demonstration features going at any one time something is bound to be just right for you.
We always have a pond expert on duty and there is always a comprehensive and great value range of pond plants and pumps to choose from.
By importing containers of pots and planters regularly from potteries around the globe we have a very extensive range, the very latest styles and colours, all at very reasonable value.
We have a good range of quality NZ made spa pools to select from at prices which we don’t believe could be bettered in the Wellington region.
Some of our many other services include a plant hire service for weddings and other functions, a free plant health clinic (just bring in a sample), a subsidised local delivery service and free gift wrapping. |

Cafe Mondo is a locally owned and managed cafe with an excellent reputation for their delicious food and great coffee, anything from a takeaway drink to a full meal can be enjoyed while sitting in either the comfortable indoor lounge or outdoor garden areas.
Mondo is a favourite with family groups as the kids can safely enjoy the play area while you relax with friends. |
