Palmers Frankton has an exciting opportunity for a Duty Manager to join the team. 

About the role: 

  • Full-time role, reporting to the Store Manager.
  • To assist the Store Manager in planning and implementing strategy to ensure efficient operation of store and sales target are achieved.  
  • Opening and closing of store, especially on Store Manager's days off.  
  • Promote sales and provide expert advice to customers on plants selection and care, attending to customers complaints if any. 
  • Responsible for the inside area of the Garden Centre to ensure that it remains clean, tidy and organised. Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards to create an appealing store environment.
  • Ensure compliance to policies and procedures and report concerns to Store Manager.

About you: 

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role is preferred. 
  • Retail experience essential. 
  • Plant knowledge or interest preferred, but not essential. 
  • Enthusiastic and motivated. 
  • Physically fit and healthy. 
  • Excellence in customer service. 
  • Reliable and must be flexible with working hours, including working during weekend. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
