Hi! I got an email to say a $10 voucher has been loaded onto my palmers card. I wondered if it can be used in the Botanix cafe or only in the garden shop?
Thanks!

hi there, iv just received some clivia plants I brought off trademe which were divided from mature clumps. i was suprised to find they had no roots only bare foliage stems with multiple leaves. the plants are all large in size. googling clivia care and transplanting I can only find that they need to be divided with roots intact. is this the case? Are my new clivia done for?? It looks like the seller intends for the stems to be poked straight into the ground and then root from there?
thanks so much for any help you can give me. Nic

Hello,
I have a problem with the weed, Wandering Jew (Not sure of the PC name for it), my question is this; Is there a grass I can grow that will beat Wandering Jew, something I can plant the won’t let it spread?
Thanks

Hydrangea problems. 1. About 6 weeks ago I bought a Hydrangea from Palmers, Greville rd. after a few days it was looking decidedly sick, starting to droop, and what flowers were on it started dying. I kept it reasonably moist in this dry weather watering it regularly (it is in a bark garden) now it has wilted drastically & the leaves are turning Brown. 2. I have had another Hydrangea for about a year, a few moths ago it started to lose its compactness & open out. it is also not flowering

This summer (the worse for five years) we had swarms of ‘cluster’ flies. The outside of the house had been sprayed with RipCord but they still came in through every crack and crevice. Could you please advise what plants/shrubs I could plant around the house to help deter then next year. I should add that our property is rural Wairarapa.

I live in Auckland and have inherited an established Little Gem Magnolia which appears to have been trimmed regularly. I assume the Little Gem should be pruned “after flowering”, but it often has flowers! I have a man who comes to trim hedges, trees etc in November and March. When is the best time to regularly trim my Little Gem – and still have its flowers to enjoy?
Thank you
Regards

Hi, I have a strip of soil along the edge of my back garden near the fence which I am going to turn into a nice space. What perennial flowering/non flowering shrubs would you recommend to plant near the fence, as I am going to plant my spring/summer bulbs in front of them. The area only gets afternoon sun. Thanks.

I was wanting to change hydraganea flowers colour, I know to do this you need to change the pH of the soil but I was wanting to know how long it will take for the hydrangea flower to change? And if the the hydrangea has already flowered can you change the pH and that same flower will overtime change colour or will it be the next season when they blossom that it will change colour?
