I’ve discovered my string of pearls has mealy bugs! After some research online, I first treated it with a spray of water, dish soap and crushed garlic. It seemed to get rid of some bugs but not all. I have also read that repotting a plant with mealy bugs is a good idea, but because string of pearls is so delicate, I am worried I will damage it even more.

What should I do! Would an insecticide be best, and which one should I use?

Thanks in advance,
Charlotte

Do you stock a liquid frost cover? I want to spray my tamarillo trees this year. If you do is it one you mix up?

Hi guys,

I purchased these two plants on Friday and repotted them since then I have noticed they have a white fuzzy growth. I have photos to show you however I do not know how to send them.

If you could email me back and I can send through the photos.

Thanks
Natasa

The leaves on my rhododendron have all turned brown after lack of water over dry summer and there is no sign of green growth. Can I assume it’s dead and pull it out or is there any possibility it could still be alive? What about cutting it right back to see what happens — and if so how far? Many thanks for your advice here
Regards
Christine

Hi there, two years ago I planted alot of daffodils along my retained wall driveway. The first year they all came up and looked great – I left them in the ground but when they came up again a lot didn’t flower, lots of foliage but no flower. What would have been the issue? I have left them in again and got my fingers crossed for this season…

Hi I have Crimson Glory Vine and something is eating holes in the leaves. I think it’s a longish little bug about 1 – 1.5 cm. What should I but to kill it. Thanks

My cabbage tree which I purchased about 4 months ago has started to get yellow leaves. These leaves are at the base of the plant. I have cut them off. What is the reason for this. (Plant is growing in a pot.) Thanks

I spray my roses monthly – and spray anything else in need, at the same time. First Question: Is it okay to mix Spraying Oil with a mixture of an insecticide, a fungicide and a liquid fertiliser? Second Question: When my spray mixture includes Oil (mealy bug at present), do I still need to add a wetting agent, eg. Sprayfix?
Thanks for your help.

Hi,
I have white soft sticky spots on the branches of my pittasporim. There are a lot of ants on these trees and the branches are dying. Can you tell me what I need to kill this disease.
Thank you.

As above.

I grew some parsley, chives, coriander, basil and parsley indoors and it got whitefly.

A friend told me this is inevitable if grown indoors

Any help appreciated 🙂

I live in Aotea, Porirua. There is a lot of clay and very little good soil but I have put in a lot of good soil to plant a row of Grisellia’s down the fence line approx.25 total. I lost approx.12 and have since replanted 2-3 months ago. Now I have about 4-5 plants with Brown spot on the leaf. Up until now they have been in very good shape (nice green colour leafs).

I have been concerned with the soil being too wet but with the extra soil I have put in and the heated dry weather I would have thought the soil would be pretty dry by now.

Can you help me please.

Hi

I have two fuschias growing in containers, the one is not doing well at all. It has now started to lose all of its leaves and flowers. They just drop off before opening. The leaves turn yellow and drop off. I thought that maybe I had over watered them. Could this be so. Can you please help me it how I can bring them back to life. 🙁

Thanks You

Alyson

Hi
I have a young mountain pawpaw growing in a pot.
Seems very happy…trunk getting nice and thick.
All of a sudden the bottom leaves are turning yellow.
Too much water or not enough.
I have been watering daily. Is that wrong?

Thanks for you help.
Really appreciate it.
