My weeping cherry tree is 2.5 yrs old. It is only growing leaves on half of it. The other half has branches completely bare. It gets pretty much all day sun. I would very much appreciate your advice on what to do

Just wondering about the best treatment option available from Palmers for the below tree leaves. Which I believe is a rather sick looking pohutukawa. Thanks for your feedback ahead of time.

Hi

I have two fuschias growing in containers, the one is not doing well at all. It has now started to lose all of its leaves and flowers. They just drop off before opening. The leaves turn yellow and drop off. I thought that maybe I had over watered them. Could this be so. Can you please help me it how I can bring them back to life. 🙁

Thanks You

Alyson

I have some aphids on my houseplants. I have 2 small children who touch everything and pets as well, so I would like to use something that is people and pet friendly. What do you recommend?

We have two large michelia figo growing close to each other. One started having a band/section of yellow leaves 4 weeks ago – about half way up. Now those leaves are dead and most of the leaves below this seem to be yellowing. The other tree has some random leaves turning yellow as well. Don’t want to lose these trees. What might be causing it, is there anything we can do?

Hi there, about 3-4 weeks ago we bought a St Louis Gold water lily to place in our pond. We are now on the 2nd flower except this one does not close as night. It was until about 2 days ago, now it stays permanently open. Is this normal?

Hi we have a grisilinia hedge and two trees have fainted. One started with the tops turning down which is usually a sign they need water so we watered deeply. Then leaves started to all hang down and now some are turning yellow. At first one branch through the middle turned brown and yellow. We noticed this about 10 days ago. This morning we noticed it has happened to a second tree which is not close by. We sprayed the first tree with nature way insect spray but it has made no difference. The hedge was planted late August and has had plenty of deep watering

Thanks

I have a standard Pohutakawa tree that is 10 years old and is losing its leaves and looks like it was dying so I took it out of its pot and found it to be very root bound and have since planted it in the garden giving it plenty of room.

I hope it will survive is there anything else I could do to help it?

Thank you

Jan

The leaves on my rhododendron have all turned brown after lack of water over dry summer and there is no sign of green growth. Can I assume it’s dead and pull it out or is there any possibility it could still be alive? What about cutting it right back to see what happens — and if so how far? Many thanks for your advice here

I have a problem with a rhodendron, it used to flower, but doesn’t, the buds open up and are green.
I sprayed it for thrips, the plant looks healthy, maybe a little rust. It gets afternoon sun , and I think this might be half the problem..
Can u plse advise what I can do to rectify the problem

Our garden is infected with phytophthera I think. I have had sudden death of daphne, golden nugget frangipani, box hedge, velvet and cream magnolia, scleranthes and boronias. The literature explains about how the fungus moves through water and how important drainage is. My garden sits on clay. Are there any companion plants that discourage fungal attacks? I still have surviving plants of each of the plants that were hit, I am spraying with foscheck and sometimes copper.

I have agave that are being eaten by something. The bug is sucking circles and areas of the gel and plant and it’s leaving pale less fleshy parts as well as some that go brown. It’s not snails as I have been out at night and not seen any. What else could it be?? Could it be earwigs and what do I do to stop this? I have photos but I don’t know how to upload them for you to see.

Is it ok to put leaves in the compost with eggs from passionfruit vine hopper on them? Does the heat kill them or do they just keep hatching?

Hi there
HELP! Planted Camellia hedgeseveral months ago (Cinnamon Cindy) and for the most part its done well. In one particular corner though some of them one by one have turned up their toes/died. 7 in total now. They start off being a little less green than the other Camellias and the leaves beginning to brown at the edges (and then dropping off). On pulling the sick plant out I’ve noticed some slight powdery stuff on the roots.
Your help would be much appreciated.
Many many thanks
Veronica
