Hi,
I purchased two gardenia’s off you recently. And was wondering how regularly I should be feeding them, and with what… I’m guessing with sulphate of potash, but would like more accurate knowledge.

Thanks,
Lisa

My daphne plant’s leaves are going brown and the plant appears to be wilting and dying. The plant has been fed with acid fertilizer 2-3 times a year and is not over watered

My garlic plants are being attacked by tiny black insects (mites?). A few of the plants have turned yellow and are drying up. How do I fix this?

I have a 10 yr old yucca. It has flowered and now seems to have died. The leaves are all brown and there are currently no sprouts on the side of the base of the trunk. Any suggestions what I should do?

Hi

My Lemon tree is very old and flowers continually. However, it does suffer badly from Verrucosis. If I understand correctly when spraying with copper it will cause the flowers to drop off. If so, what is the best time and suggested method of spraying?

My pittosporum planted last summer and about 3m tall looks as if it is dying. The bottom branches are bare and the leaves are turning yellow. What can I do?

We have a very old Marigold tree due to lack of water and soil that has built up around the trunk, it is believed that the lower regions are rotting. Can it be saved by more watering and taking away the soil that has built up around it.

I purchased this plant earlier in the year it has grown well but now the leaves are turning yellow and falling off. There is no new growth. Can you please advise what you think I can do to save this small tree as it is just lovely when it is healthy.
Many thanks

I have a very dark bathroom, which only gets filtered light through the car port roof ( The car port is enclosed on the other 2 sides by breeze block walls ) It also has etched windows ( complete with fly screens) which cuts out even more light. It is a rental property so I can not make alterations to the amount of light I get

I love ferns etc, but nothing will grow in my bathroom.

I have managed to save the maiden hair fern I originally tried in the bathroom. It is now in my computer room & gets a lot more filtered light than it did before. It is directly under the white corrugated plastic strips in the car port roof. It grows reasonably well ( on one side & it doesn’t matter how many times I rotate it is always just on one side.) But is always a very pale green & the fronds often turn brown around the edges. The Boston fern I also tried is now living very happily in my very sunny lounge, but everything else died.

Can you suggest a plant that will grow in my bathroom & also tell me what I am doing wrong with my maidenhair fern. It gets misted every couple of days through summer & gets regular feeds of Bio feed tea for Organics but it is still pale.

Thank you for your help.

Hi. I have 8 young avocado trees, and on the 2 Hass (on Zutano) ones there is a small area on a branch that has white growth on it. Under that is a brown discolouration with evenly spaced dots in the bark. I’d love to know what this is and what to do about it.
thanks

My lemon tree has little piles of sawdust under some of the branches. The leaves on these branches are also quite yellow. Is this lemon tree borer?

How do i get rid of the borer, I have been told that after pruning away the affected branches that i should pour kerosine on the area to kill off any borer that is left behind. Is this an effective method?

I have 25 yr old flowering cherry (?Shirotae) which always used to give very profuse bloom. Last two years blossom has been sparse but tree still looks healthy. Nb I have never fertilized it.
Any advice or is it just getting old?
