Hi I know there’s a rose called Bernadette, Our Lady of Lourdes, & I need one for my mum Bernadette Rose who is dying but celebrating her 80th birthday on the 8th August.

Can you PLEASE help me get one?

There is also a fuchsia named Bernadette can you find that too please? Thanks for your help.

Cheers,
Clare Stewart

HI
I have a white fungus which has spread down all my iceberg standard roses. What can I do to get rid of the fungus? I also have a lot of aphids on roses this year.

We have a rose that is all over the backyard. The roots travel undergound and pop up everywhere. How do I get rid of the rose?

Hi – I have an old climbing rose which hasn’t been pruned or trained on the trellis. It now has three very thick old woody vertical canes that are beyond bending to train across the trellis. It still has nice healthy growth and flowers but I want to train it so it doesn’t keep growing outwards. Not sure if I should take a punt and prune back the vertical canes hard and close to the ground and hope for some new vertical growth?

Cheers

I know how to prune bush roses buy pruning to an outside bud and removing any branches crossing the centre of the bush, to keep the bush open. However when it comes to climbing roses I am stuck as to how you get lovely flowering long trailing branches and the pruning of them so as not to shorten these branches. Can you help me please as I am pruning at the moment ?

My landscaper has planted three iceberg roses in a lawn area where the grass is butted up to the trunk. Is this okay as the only way to feed them is with a liquid fertiliser and I’m concern this may limit the amount of roses that will be delivered.

I have an iceberg rose in a large patio pot on a deck which was given to me for Xmas 2 years ago. it has flowered profusely during that time, however this year the flowers are coming out mostly pink with a little white and don’t look that healthy. Do I need to repot? It is well loved and cared for.

We have three Absolutely Fabulous standard roses planted a few months ago in the spring and doing marvellously well. Today we came home to find the lawn-mowing people had ring-barked all three. Is there anything we can do to increase their chances of survival (other than getting rid of the lawnmowers, of course?

My standard roses “Sir Tristram” suffers from extreme rust and black spot. I spray each 10 days with Bravo but this does not contain the problem. Please advise of the best brand of spray for this disease.
