Campari Tomatoes: I have these in 80cm high containers (1 in each) they sit on white limestone chip. Will snails get to these? How tall will these grow, and I have a large stake in each container. Will these grow the same as a normal tomatoe ie beefsteak etc.? Or should they be espaliered? I am watering each day, and they are growing at the rate of 1cm per day.
I am new to vegetable gardening but have a small raised garden bed which I have put compost and vege garden mix in layers getting ready for vegie planting. DO I need to add pea straw to the top layer to prevent slugs and maintain moisture for the plants over spring and summer?

Could you please give us an idea as to what is eating our bean leaves. Most of the damage looks likes snails but there are none hiding on the plants and none killed by slugbait on the ground.
There are many small holes in the middle of the leaves also obviously not done by slugs. In the absence of hovering birds, (plants don’t seem strong enough to support a sparrow.) We’re stumped.

Read your amazing idea of nasturtium planting under brassicas and wondered do we plant two or three seeds directly in garden under the four new brassicas I am hoping to get in this weekend or do I purchase one seedling which has the head start.?
I want to plant an easy care vegetable/herb/edible garden but the only space available is in shade the majority of the day due to neighbours trees (does get peeks of sun through branches) what am I best planting here??
For the first time in 10years my Beef Steak & Large Acid Free Tomatoes have a problem.About 30% as they ripen in have white blotchy flesh under the skin surface. Are they safe to eat? Is it a Virus or something lacking in the soil?
I am wanting to have a go at planting potatoes in bags. What are the best bags for this. I assume that black polythene bags might cause the soil out to dry out too much. What size bags do I use and how many potatoes to plant in each bag. I realize the bigger the bag the more you can plant but how close to each other can I plant?

I have five potatoes plants growing in a stack of four tyres. One of the plants has gone yellow and is dying. I read that this means the potatoes are ready. however the other four plants are still green and one still has flowers. Can I leave the potatoes in there until all the plants yellow or will the ones ready now rot and affect the others?

I have tried growing rubber beans for a few years with little success. My garden is north facing well drained soil & I buy seedlings which always grow vigorously with plenty of leaves but very few flowers & hence very few beans. The plants get watered well & fed with liquid fertiliser. What am I doing wrong?
