100%clay.we got garden mix.is it necessary to mix gypsum and lime at the same time? Or gypsum is all good. Any other suggestions please

Hi Paul,
My recommendation would be to add the gypsum to the soil to help break up the clay. Lime also helps but it may play havoc with the PH levels in your soil.
My other recommendation would be to add plenty of organic matter to the proposed garden site. Lots of organic matter will aid in breaking up the clay soil and change the soil structure. Add compost and manures such as sheep pellets.
Good luck, Clay soil can be a pain but we can also work with it.
