We have a shaded area at the front of the property. There are flaxes, agaves and olive tree planted and the garden does not get much sunlight. We are looking at planting small spreading plants to fill in the area with little maintenance. We have looked at grasses too. What else can we plant that also would add color to the green foliage from the other plants?

You can mass plant Arthropodium cirratum ‘Matapouri bay’, Renga renga lilies (white spring flowering native), or Clivia miniata, which has lovely orange or yellow flowers spring to early summer flowering. Both easy care, lay Quash snail and slug bait for Renga renga lilies. Hellebrous (winter rose), Dietes bicolour and Impatients also.
