In an outdoor container, the thyme appeared to be flagging and the soil dry but a moisture meter suggested otherwise. I thought the root of a parsley plant may have been taking up too much room so pulled it out and found the soil full of a huge amount of ants. Can you offer a solution without discarding the whole container and replanting? /would ant sand work?

Hi Carol, By the time and or money that you would have spent trying to get rid of the ants, you might as well start a new with fresh potting mix and fresh plants so you have nice healthy ones for spring.
Thanks the Palmers Team
