I am planning a wedding for April 2014. What can I plant which will flower? hot pink/blue/purple/mauve? Shrubs and flowers. Currently I have camelias only flowering. I want a climber, a hedge which I can keep clipped short and something either wide of a pathway, also two flowering specimen trees (could be fruit). also something to esplandier. All of these need to be flowering mid April 2014?

Flowering specimen trees you can go for Magnolia ‘Little gem’. Low hedging go for Buxus ‘Green gem’, or Teucrium fruiticans (silver foliage). You can edge pathways with dwarf white agapanthus or Lirope muscari. Espalier can be fruit such as apple and pears. You can train stone fruit (nectarines, peaches, plums and cherries) into a fan shape, which suits their brittle wood better. Flowering plants to choose from are: Vireya Simbu Sunset often flowers in autumn Autumn can be a glorious time of the year for colour in the garden. Shrubs like Cassia, Lasiandra, Vireya, Osmanthus, early Azalea & Camellias. Also included are, Abutilon, Loquat, Polygala, Lantana, Plumbago, blue flowering Salvias, yellow Chrysanthemum.
