Do Monarch butterflies still hatch on the swan trees if they still have flowers and the actual swan it’s self. I have a big tree and haven’t seen one monarch lay any eggs on my two trees.

thanks for your question. Monarchs usually hatch (or form the chrysalis) away from the plant. The swan plant is for feeding the caterpillar and then they crawl off and make the cocoon on the underside of another plants branch or stem.
