Hi
I have two banana trees I want to plant – one is smaller than the other and a little the worse for wear – so I want to get them into the ground asap. Can I please have some planting tips? And am I right thinking that they have to be planted close together to get the best results?
Thanking you

Hi Debra, There’s no reason why they need to be planted close together, although it might be physically more attractive if they where planted close together. Soil prep as follows dig a good size hole, what come out of the hole mix with same volume of Palmers garden mix, plant with this mixture ensuring the plant is planted slightly higher than current soil levels. Put a good layer (10cm) of Kolush Manuka garden mulch and repeat this 2-3 times a year.
Thanks the Palmers Team
