I will shortly be moving to a new property and want to establish a berry garden. Raspberry, Blackberry, boysenberry as well as blue berry. When is the best time to plant these. I am in Whakatane where we have perhaps 12 light frosts each winter – the first today.

You are best to plant your berry plants in Spring after the last frost as sometimes the leaves stay in tact which on a newly planted bush can cause stress to the plant if frosted.
