Hi. I live in Cambridge and I have a blackcurrent bush to plant. Can you tell me how big they grow so I can find the best place tp plant?

Thank you

Hi Susan, Blackcurrants grow to about 1.5m high and 1.5m wide. They prefer a position in full sun or semi-shade with a fertile soil that drains freely and does not dry out. You can prune them annually to help keep the size in check. Pruning is best carried out in winter when the stems are bare and the bush is in its dormant stage.

Thanks the Palmers Team
