Was told last year to report any brown sheild bugs found in your garden.We did find one,but it was before we found this out,& it had gone.We have now found one today & is now in a bowl of soapy water.We found it on the pumpkin leaves.What shall we do,as we had a real bad season last year of shield bugs.They ate anything & everything,including a whole pumpkin from underneath

If it looks like the picture (sent on you) contact MPI on the MPI website. Otherwise a dusting of Diatomaceous earth should take care of them. Being organic you might need to repeat this. If you had a heavy infestation last year it might pay to dust the Diatomaceous earth anyway.
