Camellias

Yellow leaves usually indicate a nutrient deficiency, It can also indicate a drainage issue in the soil. You have done the right thing by feeding it with fertiliser. Camellias like acidic soil so bear that in mind when applying fertiliser. You can buy fertiliser that is specific to Camellias and Rhododendrons.

We also had such a very wet spring and if the water had nowhere to go perhaps the tree got a little waterlogged.

The grey markings could be natural markings of the tree, It is very hard to say without a little more information or some photos. If you are worried it may be a disease spraying with a liquid copper would not harm the tree in any way. Monitor the problem and if it gets worse and not better I would recommend spraying with a liquid copper following the directions of the bottle.

Fertilise your tree again in autumn.
