My vegetable gardening has been hamstrung by club root for several years now and I am unable to grow any of the brassicas. Are there any chemicals or practices which might help me remove it? Or are there any resistant varieties?

Do you rotate your crops rotation, try successively growing different types of crop, in the same area, this should be religiously followed with broccoli which is susceptible to a soil- borne disease, club root, which causes the plants to wilt rapidly on hot days, so make sure you plant into a different bed each year. Dont go back to the same bed for at least three years. Yates Shogunis a quality hybrid variety of broccoli with good disease resistance which you could try, stay away from chemicals if you can.
