Hi there,
May I ask if I can plant Ficus on my concrete water tank, it’s my water supply and don’t want any roots finding the hairline cracks, causing damage etc.
Any suggestions for anything that will not damage tanks?
Thanks

Hi Brent, Ficus will find cracks as it attaches itself – although extremely unlikely to do any harm let alone go right through, unless you have a crack that goes right through. Any climber that doesn’t cling can be grown over a tank (start on the shady side as a plant will grow towards the sun). Thanks, the Palmers team
