I am wondering what flowers to plant in pots out side, to be blooming end of September and through October?

For a great display of flowering annuals consder marigolds, snapdragons, petunias, impatiens (if we get a warm start to spring), lobelia or allysum. Some reliable perennials to recommend would be lavender, gazania, geranium or calibrachoa. All of the above should be in flower through this period if Mother Nature behaves herself! Your local Palmers store will have these and many other ideas for a riot of colour at that time. See also our ‘Grow in Containers’ free guide.
