Hi there, I have had difficulty growing yellow courgettes – when they get to about 3 inches, still with the flower attached, they start to rot from the flower end of the fruit.. Please can you tell me what I am doing wrong. Thank you.

Hi Christine, Most likely it will be that the weather is still being a bit cold. There are Male and Female flowers and if they don’t get pollinated (the female flowers) what appears to be the fruit will fall off and rot, possible early flowers are just male which just rot away. Or possibly it’s a Calcium deficiency (rectified by applying Gypsym/lime). Thanks the Palmers Team
