I have a terrace bed supported by an ugly concrete wall. I am looking for a plant to crawl across the concrete edge and trail down the wall a bit. The plant needs to have attractive evergreen foliage, able to withstand very strong southerly winds sometimes. The terrace bed gets a lot of sun, so the plant base will get full sun, but any leaves that trail down the wall will be in a south-facing shady area. The bed is irrigated. The main problem is very strong wind sometimes.

If you are wanting a plant that climbs itself along the wall you would be looking at an Ivy. Hedera helix is an evergreen variety that will withstand your described conditions.
