Can you tell me whether I have to wait for my dahlias to die right back before I cut them and dig up??

If you are wanting to dig up and save your dahlia tubers for next year, shorten the branches and dig the plant up at the end of the growing season, about a week after the first frost. Let the tubers air dry for several days. Then store in a cool location in paper bags . Replant in spring when danger of frost has past.)
