Hello, I was looking to plant a tree that is roughly one metre away from a small stone retaining wall, however I do not want the roots to spread out and cause damage to the retaining wall (just stone blocks, not mortar).
I think I need a deep rooted tree? I was wondering if you have any trees that would suit, ideally i’d like one with 1-2m of trunk and then spreads out.
Many thanks for your time.

Hi Greg, 1 metre away should be OK, when you purchase the tree ensure that you ask if the tree has a vigorous root system.
