My strawberries plants, second year plants, are producing fruit that seem not very well formed. The fruit seems to curl onto itself. Just wondering what causes it? the cold weather, soil/ nutrient deficient? Please advice.

Hi Marian, Some of all of the above as well as using the same plants for the second year, as often the yield is dramatically less than the first year. You possibly could recover the plants by using regular organic liquid fertilisers, the warmer weather will also help. For next year either get new plants or take the laterals that are growing off this years plants (you could do this for up to 3 years before the vigour tends to drop off). Thanks the Palmers Team
