Last summer I was sold Confidor to rid my raspberries, boysenberries, etc. of an infestation of leaf hoppers. Didn’t work. I followed a spray regime during dormancy but last week I noticed the first appearance of hoppers. I have sprayed twice since then with COnfidor but this morning there are even more. Do you have any suggestions as to might work?

Hi Carol, Please do not use Confidor on any edible plant, Confidor is a poison that goes into the plant and stays in there for a period of time, I would not suggest you use this on edibles. You could use Enspray oil on a regular basis or you could try Diatomaceous earth powder. Leaf hoppers aren’t major pests (unless you have lots and lots!!)
Thanks the Palmers Team
