Hi there,

I have recently moved into a new house. There is an established feijoa tree here with no flowers. I have no idea what variety it is. I have planted a Feijoa (Unique varety) close by. Any more tips on how I can get the original one to flower/fruit without knowing what type it is?

Thanks
Kate

Hi Kate, It should be in flower now or already have fruit formed on it. If it doesn’t flower at all in the next few weeks, it might be a seedling that just doesn’t flower (and hence not wanted!). If unsure, feed with sulphate of potash 2-3 times over the next 12 months and give it one more year before it gets the chop! Thanks, the Palmers team
