I have 3 x Feijoa tree’s (small) that didn’t produce any Feijoa’s last season and don’t show any sign of producing this coming season either (no buds forming) though I don’t know whether they should as yet. It may have been their first or second season earlier this year but they were quite well established healthy looking plants though I recently noted scale which I have just sprayed for. Other Feijoa tree’s I have had have all produced well in there first season. It is good well drained soil and the blueberry’s next to them went well. What could the reason be for none production? Can I do something to encourage production?
Thanks, Stephen

Hi Stephen, Feijoas normally take a good 2 years to come into fruit – a good Mulch around the plant will help create a health growing environment and encourage lots of new growth including flowers.

Thanks the Palmers Team
