I am not a gardener at all. But have always loved fritillaries. Last year i bought a bulb, planted it (in the spring) in a medium sized plant pot, and waited. It came up, grew a ‘stick’ about 30cm tall but that is where it stopped. No flowers, nothing beyond this twig.
What did i do wrong? And what should I do with it now? It has stayed round the back of the house since then, unchanged. I would love to think there is still hope I may get a flower from it somehow.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Bev, At this stage (or shortly) they should start dying off, ideally once they have died down they should be lifted and stored over summer, prior to planting out in the following Autumn they should be placed in the fridge over approx. 6 weeks.
Thanks the Palmers Team
