I would like to know what are good pot plants for verandah by front door. Doesn’t get any direct sun and can be quite cold in winter. Have two large pots

Hi Margaret,
There are some really beautiful plants you can place in areas that get minimal, non-direct sun.
Some options for your pots are:
Philodendron xanadu: Tropical with bold foliage that looks amazing in a pot.
Loropetalum burgundy: Also available in green foliage. They look great in pots and lovely trimmed as a standard.
Michelia figo: Port wine magnolia, Makes a good statement plant
Coleus: A foliage plant with loads of colour
Impatiens: Bizzy Lizzy, A show of long-lasting impatiens will look amazing – you could swap out for polyanthus in the winter months.
Gardenia: Stunning white scented flowers.
Bromeliads: Adds interest and colour.
I hope a few of these ideas put you on the right track.
