Just planted a lemon tree and a manderin tree in large tubs-when should i expect fruit? And do i have to protect them from the frost?

Manderins normally start fruiting in 2 – 4 years, while lemons from 4 years. It is a good idea to remove the buds/young fruit from the trees for the first few years to encourage good strong stem and leaf growth. Covering young trees in winter against frost may be required.
