my gaardenia looks healthy but the flowers form and some get to just about to open then they either go brown or they just about open but fall off instead

Hello Suzanne,

Gardenia do have a tendency to drop flowers as soon as they are under stress, to minimise this try using a good Mulch like the Kolush Manuka Mulch. Sometimes they have mites at this time of the year, (which causes bud drop) a sprinkler with Diatomaceous earth will help with this.
