My Jersey benne planted in October are full of healthy growth about 15 inches high but no sign of flowers. Is this too early for flowers?

Hi Ray

Thanks for your question. Your Jersey Benne plants may still be a little early to flower yet. Once they do flower you do not need to wait for the foliage to die down to harvest them as they are an early crop variety. They usually take a minimum of 60 – 80 days to be ready for harvest so will be late December if planted in late October.

Happy gardening
