My attempt to grow strawberries in guttering for the past two seasons has been a total failure. the rootball is simply too large for the space available, consequently no matter how much I water and/or feed, the plants cannot be getting sufficient nutrients. Tui Products have advised me to try the smaller hybrid plants with a smaller rootball.
Can you name any specific varieties I should look out for and if these are stocked by Palmers? If so, what time of year are they available and can you pre-order.
Thank you

Hi Carol, Not sure that there will be a variety that would suit growing in such confined space, just when the plant needs the water the soil will run out of water holding capacity. I would suggest you look for a solution that has more soil (ie 10L bucket per plant).
Thanks the Palmers Team
