My three hippeastrum made lots of leaves but did not flower this year, although they have in the past two years. We were away 2 weeks in February and I left them in a tub with water in the base. Perhaps they became water logged. They still have long green leaves but I have refrained from watering them very much. What to do now?

HI Dorothy,
It’s a bit tricky to know without seeing the plant and its surroundings but we would just leave them for now, they might still produce some flowers! Being in the tray of water has got them growing earlier then what they normally would and the position that it was in might have contributed to them just growing leaves for now.
If they continue not to flower, take a photo of the plant in store and one of our experts can help you out.
Thanks, the Palmers team
